The Sharks 5th Annual Swim-A-Thon

On Saturday, July 15, 2017, the Sharks are holding their fifth annual Swim-A-Thon to raise money for the Settler’s Landing Pool.  This is a mandatory event.  Each age group will swim for 45 minutes while a parent volunteer counts the number of laps completed.  Prior to the Swim-A-Thon, we are asking that families find individuals to sponsor their swimmer. Sponsors may give a flat donation or may give a monetary amount for each lap completed.  All donations need to be turned in by Thursday, July 27 at the end of Season Banquet and Awards Ceremony.

Swimmers will receive a popsicle after they swim.  If a swimmer receives $20 or more in pledges, he/she will receive a free pizza dinner (2 slices) when the movie starts, about 8:15pm.

After swimming make sure to stay for fun games and music, courtesy of Back to Rock.  We will also play a movie on the big screen (weather permitting).

Here are the times for the swims:

6:00 – 6:45   Mini-Mites/Mites

6:45 – 7:30   Midgets/Juniors

7:30 – 8:15   Intermediates/Seniors

This is not a drop-off event.  We will need several parents to count laps.  Please email Julie Batt to let her know you will count laps (jmuteach@aol.com).

This is a mandatory event.  You can swim and count your lap any time and any where if you can’t be here on July 15.

Let’s make this a wonderful event to showcase all of the talent that we have at Settler’s Landing while raising money for the community pool that we love.
